First trimester scan today, all is good and healthy!! I thought I spotted a very clear ‘fork’ in the scan, but they printed off loads of photos and some look ‘boy’ and some look ‘girl’! What is your guess? Gender scan booked for 2 weeks time so will update! ✨

It’s sort of an old wives tale with some truth in it, that you can see the sex of the baby in the 12 week scan because of the ‘nub’ (the bit where the genitals would be). Some people are really good at guessing!

Because why does it matter what sex your baby is?! If it’s a boy are you going to immediately paint the nursery blue and go out and buy digger toys?! But don’t worry, I know it’s all “just for fun!!!!!!!!”
Congratulations on your pregnancy, it’s nice that you are so excited. It’s just that obsessing about its sex seems unhealthy IMO (and yes, deliberately posting on a high traffic forum for theories based on an old wives tale weeks before a sonographer can even tell what the sex definitely counts as “obsessing”)
