To be annoyed at waiting 29 days for an ebay product that I was told would take 15 days at most? Think I've been ripped off!!

I bought a wardrobe on ebay on 2nd Jan and the description said it would be here within 15 days. We got an e-mail a few days later saying it was on it's way- then another REALLY badly spelt saying it wouldn't be here as it was damaged and they needed to get another from supplier. They said it'd be here soon and I said fine. No more correspondence. So I notice last week we've been waiting a long time, and so I rang and asked if it would be here soon.

I got told it would be here Tuesday (the one just gone). it didn't arrive. So I rang again on Wednesday and a lady said she couldn't help me as I'd have to speak to some bloke. She said would i like him to call me.

i said yes.

She said 'well i shouldn't tell you this but he won't get in touch with you so you'd best ring back.' Like she was doing me some kind of favour!!!

So i rang him today and he said 'it won't be with you until the 31st.' I said 'Are you sure it'll be here?' and he said '99%. You're a bit out of the way so I caqn't send a delivery guy just to you! You'll have to wait until there's more in your area. We don't bother with couriers we have our own delivery drivers. I can't send them all the way to you.'

WHAT??? It was advertised as a legit company with good correspondence and a HELP line to solve any problems.... why can't they just send me the god damn wardrobe?????

what is their feedback like?

Mostly good- 90 something %- but they have two negative feedbacks which say pretty much same problem as me.

Thats terrible, just told dp, he said it sounds like youve been had. Email ebay and send them the emails from the company, and tell them what youve been told on the phone. Good luck.

Thanks mumzyof2, i thought as much! My DP said the same but I REALLY wanted the wardrobes so i was sticking my head in the sand... think I best get on to ebay pronto.
