For about 6 months I feel bloated constantly. I wrote it off as just weight gain but the scales haven't really gone up yet my stomach is huge and I feel full all the time. Doctors thought it was maybe acid related but I'm worried it could be ovarian cancer? I'm 32. I had the copper coil fitted a few months ago but the bloating seemed to start while I was taking the pill.

I had extreme bloating on the copper coil, it got especially worse around ovulation and period. I had always had a very flat stomach previously and my whole torso was so bloated.

Back on the combined pill and back to normal now. Maybe the coil isn't working for you? Has it got worse since the coil?

Do you have any other symptoms? To me, it doesn't look very different other than the first picture is fuzzy.

Looks like a bit of weight gain from the pill. It's quite common it'll soon go down once the hormones settle.

If you feel bloated and uncomfortable definitely get yourself checked out. What will you lose?

@noothankyou really? On the non hormone copper coil? I got it as I thought being non hormonal I wouldn't have many side effects!
I gained weight on the pill but the bloating and acid reflux has got a lot worse since having the coil fitted. It's constant bloating that feels really uncomfortable and doesn't go down when I get up on a morning.

Yes I had it for about 9 months and it got progressively worse. It was the final straw to get it removed.

I think if you had cancer you would be starting to notice other symptoms such as weight loss or gain and irregular bleeding by now - especially given the fact you're still quite young. The other symptoms can be a result of a hormone fluctuations. I've had all of them to varying degrees during my life. In saying this, no-one else is inside your body. If you're really worried call your GP.

@noothankyou I wonder if it's caused by the coil then? It's really making me miserable and feel terrible whatever it is.

Ask for a camera down the throat. My OH has acid reflux, heartburn and stomach pain. Then he had trouble swallowing and eating. He's just been diagnosed with oesophagus cancer. I'm not saying it's that if you can eat and swallow ok but better to get checked out.
