And elsewhere, actually. I write an email qt work maybe twice a week to someone where I spent ages "needing" clarification on something, but when I wrote it out (and before I send it) I knew what they were going to say, but I couldn't get there before writing it out.

Is that a processing thing? Some people are auditory, kinesthetic, or whatever the writing one is? Or do you get there yourself half the time no matter what you are?

I do that sometimes at work. Or I'll have a chat with a colleague about something that's bothering me and during the chat realise I know the answer without them actually suggesting anything. It's just using writing it all out or talking to someone as a sounding board - I think it's pretty common?
