To not want a bath

OH insisted he ran me a bath tonight. When he went to run one I said no it's ok, I showered earlier and I'm very tired i might have one tomorrow.

His mood changed, he seemed offended. He said "I was just trying to do something nice for you"

I told him I appreciated it but I'm exhausted and don't fancy laying in a bath tonight. Its getting late and i'm up early with the kids. I suggested a cup of tea if he wanted to do something nice for me. He wasn't so enthusiastic about that.

So WIBU to not want a bath? Would you take a bath you didn't want just to avoid turning down a kind gesture? when the kind gesture is clearly just to get you in the mood for sex that you're too tired for

Can't stand baths anytime. I don't find them relaxing at all. Have your cuppa and get to bed. Sleep well !

I love baths. Have them most nights.
I would hate to have one run for me. I mean, who needs a bath run for them anyway? And I'll decide when and how I have one.

Oh god DP is exactly the same! He seems to have it in his head that I’m a fan of baths and therefore running me one is a kind gesture. He also runs a terrible bath. Full to the brim of boiling hot water.

We’ve recently moved and the bath is a bit grotty so I’ve told him that I won’t be using it until we get the bathroom redone. I’ve bought myself at least 6 months 😬

I hate baths, and would be unappreciative of one being run for me. I'd also dislike that its probably a clumsy way of trying to get you to have sex.

We haven't used our bath for 12 years. It's just a dust gatherer. If our bathroom was small I'd rip the fecker out, but we have a very large bathroom with a separate shower cubicle so not much point in the expense.

I love baths, have one most nights but they make me tired not in the mood! He gets quite put out when I don't want one. I really don't know whether it's for the reason above or because he believes it is relaxing and wants me to have some time out (he is genuinely concerned about me always doing something). But to me sometimes I'd rather have a quick shower and extra sleep time.

I hate a bath. The cleaning the tub before and after puts me right off. Not to mention being bored and wanting to get out. I love a good, hot shower though. Yanbu, if he wanted to do something nice he would just make you the cup of tea.
