Good relationship, so far. I'm 51, he's 64. Seeing each other for 3 months. Great sex, good laughs, mutual hobbies etc. Bought him mince pies today, as a treat. First time he couldn't get it up and he blamed indigestion on minced pies.

AIBU or is this insult to injury?

Yes he said, it's not your fault the pastry made me off.

Ahhh there we go then :) he's trying to reassure you. Don't sweat it.

Don't buy any more pies.

There you go, sounds like he really didn't want you to feel rejected at all.

He didn't realise you'd still feel responsible because you bought the mince pies!

I'd have just made light of it and had a cuddle, no big deal.

Because I'm buying him treats, to follow a meal I've made for him, and he's saying my treat has given him indigestion. Could be true but sex after 8 times, no problem him getting it up then he struggles tonight and puts it down to my treat. Just feel really low.

Honestly, I though I was an over thinker!

Op relax. Please relax. He wasn’t blaming you.

He gave you a reason, which may be true. Indigestion. That’s not him blaming you and your treats. Just life. Sometimes we eat things and get indigestion.

you Are taking this far to personally in behalf of mince pies

Thanks ever so much ladies. He's calling me now to talk about it. I shouldn't let a mince pie or two get in the way of a potentially good relationship. Wish I didn't overthink things.

Just make light of it, don't over analyse! And don't buy mince pies again...

Maybe chocolate and avocado instead? 😉
