We were paying £960pm, that's gone down to £800 from this month.
Just wondering what people pay?

420 with an extra 100 overpayment.

LubaLuca · 01/10/2022 21:52

£950 but we pay £1500. Not long left now, can't wait until we don't have it any more.

RachelSq · 01/10/2022 21:52

Before we paid it off it was £1,400 pm but we regularly overpaid.

Figgygal · 01/10/2022 21:52

Was £1050 going up to £1450 and that's coming off a fixed early to try stop it hitting £1700 a month next year
Utterly miserable

jellydaydream · 01/10/2022 21:52

£550 fixed for another 4 years then there'll be £6,000 left on it. so saving £200 a month from now till then. I'll be 60 and mortgage free.

TheChosenTwo · 01/10/2022 21:52

1650 but we overpay it to hopefully be mortgage free in 4 more years - cannot wait until the day comes we don’t have that coming out every month!

Remainiac · 01/10/2022 21:54

took a new 7 yr fix in July, payment is £678 but we overpay so £1000. 7 years will take us to the end.

WonkasBooboofixer · 01/10/2022 21:55

£13.00 now just to keep something open on our credit file. but we lived very frugally through Covid not knowing how long it would go on for and threw every penny we saved over Covid at it when we came out the other end we also haven't been abroad for several years don't drink don't have expensive clothes, nails, lips, eyebrows, spray tans, phones, cars, wedding, credit cards and the like. So yes we look a bit like dishevelled cave dwellers but at least the cave is paid for.

Phrenologistsfinger · 01/10/2022 21:56

£1019

Pinkwithwhite · 01/10/2022 21:57

Not a stealth boast at all!
Thinking of buying something else but our mortgage would be over £2,000. To me that seems crazy high but DH says its normal just wanted to get a feel for what others pay

Officially £770 a month but we round up to £800. Wish we could overpay more. Thanking my lucky stars we fixed for 5 years last year at a stupidly low rate.

BangingOn · 01/10/2022 21:58

£1600, fixed for 5 years this summer. Around 7 years left.

ThreeRingCircus · 01/10/2022 21:58

£1100 a month but we're planning on that to go up by the time our fix ends (luckily we have another 3 years on our current deal.) Just trying to overpay as much as we can before then.

bonzaitree · 01/10/2022 21:58

£350

Depends on your income.

LivingMyBestLie · 01/10/2022 22:00

£1200. For us, it's important to live within our means and not overstretch ourselves. We like the freedom of knowing we can still pay it if/when the s* hits the pan

Prinnny · 01/10/2022 22:00

Was £535, then our deal ended and we’ve just fixed for another 5yrs which is now £614pm.

Blahdeebla · 01/10/2022 22:00

£1160 5 year fix - 4 years left

PeloFondo · 01/10/2022 22:02

£385 fixed until 2026

It’s irrelevant what others pay. It’s about what you can afford in relation to your income.

Razzl · 01/10/2022 22:02

1000 but will go up next month when we get our new fix

Workyticket · 01/10/2022 22:02

£500 plus and overpayment of £80

£61,000 to go!

It's normal where I am but surely it depends on income & age. How does someone in their 60s who bought yrs ago telling you they have a £200 mortgage help?

Metabigot · 01/10/2022 22:04

£520. Fixed for another 2 years

caringcarer · 01/10/2022 22:05

We have to pay £560 but pay £1000 to get it paid off quicker. If we carry on at £1k per month about 19 months left.
