Parking Space?

Light hearted but my partner thinks I'm bonkers (& I'm ok with being told I am if you agree!!!!!).

If I'm at work, I usually park in a large multi storey car. I always park reversed into a space on the left hand side, second row. If there isn't a space available there, I'll ignore the rest and go to the next floor.

I typically end up on floors 4, 5 or 6. In the evening if I can't remember the floor I just go to 5 and will only have to go up one or down one if I'm wrong. I usually remember and if i'm early I'm on 4 and late I'm on 6. He think it's bonkers to go up a floor if there are spaces available.

I've done this for years but his car is in the garage so I've given him a lift this week.

Please tell me you have a favourite parking space for convenience.

I go up until the firsr nearly deserted floor in a multi storey. Totally don't get why you would settle for a tight spot when you just go up a bit and you can have your pick, preferably a drive in and out!

Definitely and not too far from a pay station which annoyingly are in different places on different floors!!

I don't have a favourite space but I do have a favourite area covered by approximately five spaces. If none of them are free I will park elsewhere then glower at all the other parked cars as I go past. They must tremble in their wheels...😅

My neighbor would always get to the multistory car park first in the morning. He was very proud of the fact that he parked in the same spot for 30 years.

Maybe the OP needs to up her game and get there earlier. 😂

iratepirate · 30/09/2022 12:31

Not at work, but I do have favourite spaces in the car parks of the supermarkets I go to and at the gym.

MarinoRoyale · 30/09/2022 12:35

If you’re bonkers then I am too, it helps me remember where I’ve parked as I’m terrible at remembering for some reason.

Oh and the optimal job ring is front right for sure!

HangOnToYourself · 30/09/2022 12:38

I do this and my partner also thinks I'm mad 😂 he mocks me (jokingly) if I cant get "my" spot, knowing how outraged I secretly am

TheMoops · 30/09/2022 13:28

Haha my DH has a favourite parking spot in his works multi-storey.
I'm using his parking pass today and I've made sure I've parked in 'his' spot 😂😂

CourtneeLuv · 30/09/2022 22:52

The correct favourite hob ring is front left.

Brigante9 · 30/09/2022 22:55

In the multi story in town, I normally go to the top because it’s usually empty so I can park right by the exit and then not have far to walk to/from the lift.

Agreed!

Why is there no diagram? 🙄

Because the location of the OP’s special parking spot is a strict secret that she absolutely should not share on a public forum. It might end up in the press for goodness sake!

Our road is street parking only. Most families only have 1 car (or no car) so everyone parks outside their own house, and there are about 10 "spare" spaces at the bottom of the road where there are no houses at all.

Occasionally neighbours have visitors or trades people who might park outside someone else's house to get close to the house they are visiting.

DH prowls around in the bay window waiting for them to leave so he can reclaim "his" spot outside our house. He has been known to move a whole cars length from the house next door to our house in the past.

Yes. I laugh at him.
