Please help our kitten has had issue's since we got her about 6 week's ago.
Initially I think it was us as we stupid change
Wher food .
We are doing stool samples for vet over weekend but what else can we do.
Vet gave us probiotic thing but that didn't work it's sloppier than ever.

We have to wipe her all the time it's awful.
We can't cuddle her properly etc..

What else can we do whilst waiting?

Presumably she’s been wormed with panacur? Try ProMax (you can get it on Amazon). Works instantly usually, but it only masks the symptoms so see what the stool samples come up with. Good luck, hope she recovers soon.

Yes we gave her pan the day after we collected her! for 3 days and I was worried about her not getting enough so vet said we could carry it ln for a few days.
Then she also had vet flea and worm stuff on her neck.
Then she had another tablet, av something last week.

Changing food can give them colitis which causes diarrhea. You need to get a vet check as they can prescribe things but if you ever change food it's best to do it very gradually to prevent this.

CurlUpAndDye · 29/09/2022 21:59

Look up canned pumpkin online. We found it works for our pets diarrhea. I just add a small amount to the food. Hope you find something that helps soon.

Catkittenahite · 29/09/2022 22:05

Thank you.
It's been so upsetting for us all and I'm sure including her.
We can't hug and pet her freely. Of course we give her affection still but it's not the same.

I have had the exact same issue with my kitten though I'm about a week ahead of you I think. I'm sorry to say i just rolled with it, kept her in a room i can easily clean as she was just leaking poo constantly. We used an old apron over our clothes when picking her up to protect us and just constant cleaning... it was not fun. Her stool sample came back positive on Monday for giardia so the vet has given medicine to treat that and she is improving somewhat though her farts are still noxious. We're still waiting on the bacterial culture results to come back as she may need a different medicine to treat that.
I decided not to try a food change in the middle of this just in case it added to her problems trying to adjust to another new food (I had been considering that royal canine one)
Sorry don't know if this is much help but we are getting through the other side of it now.
I'm so so fed up with cleaning poo!
