to be fuming by Tesco delivery driver's rudeness?

Tesco delivery driver just dropped of our shop and pointed out the substitutions. I told him that I had not asked for substitutions as they sometimes give you stuff that is WAY off the mark.
Driver then has a hissy fit and told me that he was too pissed off to care and stomped out the door.
If he hates his job so much, why take it out on his customers?

Call Tesco straight away and report this. We have a lovely driver who always checks the subs are okay and never moans if they aren't. He shouldn't be talking to you like this.

I thought you didnt have to take the substitutions? I have refused them in the past and the money has been credited back to my bank account. Having said that he shouldnt have been so rude to you, i would ring up and say something. My delivery drivers are always very nice, one of them even know my ds's name and asks after him, the only grumpy one ive had was quite upsetting bcause my ds whos deaf had been waiting for the delivery and flung the door open and yelled"hello teco man" he didnt even smile! My ds had made a real effort to say it too! But on the whole most of the drivers are lovely!

if i was you, i shall call customer service. i never understood, if they got personal problem, they should deal with it themselves without upsetting you.
i had similar experience with musuem stuff when i was heavily pregnant with dd2. i straight went to the manager. i felt much better as i was very upset and humilated.

hertsnessex · 25/01/2008 11:17

def complain. you want a big refund, not only on the subs, but the delivery charge and a credit for next time you shop.

Quick update- yes I am sorry if he had lost his cat/ granny/ house but I wonder how many others he managed to hack off as I was first delivery of the day.
AND the soapy stuff was flung in with the bread plus some other food was open Frozen food had defrosted.
Complaint lodged.
