I think if the quality of the past PM has anything to go by they are both a couple of self serving nutcases (Kwarteng especially)! He is probably getting off gambling on the rate of our economy and doesn't give two shits what mess he leaves! To be this irresponsible in this current climate is nothing short of psychopathic!

I've long believed that John Redwood is an alien. There's no other explanation.

Well, either they are grossly incompetent and this is all coming as a massive surprise to them (despite all advice to the contrary), or this is a purposeful attempt to crash the economy in order to further enrich their disaster-capitalist mates and justify huge cuts to the public sector, so that they can rebuild the UK as a tax haven for the super-rich, with a millionaire/billionaire class, a vast working class and no real middle class (see for example, the US).

Unfortunately, I fear they likely ARE visionaries,
but their vision is not one that will benefit the vast majority of the populace.
