Non stop period and crying everyday

I’m 44 and since July I’ve had heavy, long periods, sometimes with clots, they’ll stop and start at times and I feel like I’m nearly always bleeding, I’m also crying all the time, is this the menopause already? Peri menopause?

Make an appointment to see your Doc for blood test to see if you're anaemic after all that blood loss. Perhaps a scan to see if you have polyps; these cause excess bleeding?

This is how my peri-menopause started though; periods were horrific.

Have a look at Dr Louise Newson website; lots of info there to help you for menopausal stuff. Good luck.

I feel for you. I had this, turned out I had fibroids, I was bleeding 3 weeks every month, huge clots, very low emotions. I got them surgically removed which cleared up the bleeding. The emotions I can;t talk to as I was going through MH stuff at the time also. But not bleeding so much definitely helped my mood.

I have this, I recently bled for 42 days. Sometimes it's like spotting, other days heavy flooding with clotting. I've been checked, scanned, blood tests, swabs, and they can't find an answer.

You do need to be seen though, as PPs have said, you may have fibroid,ls, polyps, or perhaps a hormone imbalance that can be treated. I'm not convinced mine isn't due to perimenopause, I think that can't always be caught in a blood test. And it can last 10 years before full meno, so its a possibility. Who knows.
