What is the need to use the F word when it's not even in a aheated debate or anything (not that that makes it ok)...but being used just for the ske of it???

Diff strokes for diff folks...to some people it's not offensive, it's just a word.

not sure which thread you're talking about, however, I don't like gratuitous use of the Fword. But then sometimes it's THE only word which will do. Agree with HuwEdwards about different things for different people e.g. my in-laws used bloody and bugger all the time, and didn't think they were particularly bad words. Those words were banned in my home, my parents thought they were evil. So you can imagine the glances that got exchanged when we brought my parents and ILs together!!!And you don' tlike it, whilst it doesn't bother cornsilk. Shows you have to be sensitive to who's around you if/when you use it.

I used it tonight actually, in my defence I was really livid about an earlier comment, but I do try not to use it. Apologies if it was me that upset you!

Does changing the vowel at the beginning of the word still count as being as bad as using the word itself? If so that's probably me and sorry for any offence caused.
