Will they scan me - worried

so last week I had an odd stomach ache for a whole week , like contractions waves of pain almost doubling me over - NOT PREGNANT

and for the past 3 days I’ve had like a pulsating feeling under my left breast by my rib cage , I am prob being paranoid as my dad has had 2 aoritic aneurysms over the past 10 years .

because I have anxiety in my records I’m sure my doctors just think I’m paranoid - I prob am a bit.

but I just want some kind of scan to make sure it’s nothing like an anueyrism - as they can obviously be really dangerous.

I just think they will try and fob me off , I have a appointment Tuesday for bloods as had other symptoms but I just want to say - can you get me booked in for some kind of scan of that area …. Is this a reasonable request ?

Having anxiety is not a reason not to book you in for a scan. I’ve had anxiety and yesterday my GP booked me in for a CT - they will decide whether you need one based on your symptoms.

Thank you , I always feel they just think that whatever I say is based on anxiety , I know I don’t push things enough . But I’ll see what they say ….

I think it's quite common to get a stomachache with waves of pain when your digestive system is a bit irritated. There are over the counter meds for that.

I don't think they are likely to scan unless the pain is so severe that you can't carry out regular activities or if it's accompanied by other symptoms.
