Mumsnet pulling threads

When you are invested in a thread and you just get an update saying serious things have escalated. Sorry to be nosy but when you have followed something it’s really bloody annoying to never know the outcome.

MNHQ usually pull threads when they are started by trolls, so I really wouldn't get over invested in threads as the chances are it's all made up nonsense.

Which thread were you really invested in?

Might be a privacy/safety issue. So they are right to pull them.

That would be the creepy music in the garden thread.

For me it's more the ones that pull you in with sporadic updates then go dead and never have a conclusion. Like the spooky music in the garden one. As predicted it appeared in the Mirror then op vanished.

Yes that is the one ! The reason why they pulled it left me even more intrigued. Ok call me nosy but these people put it there for us to read and people become invested and take time to reply then it just vanishes! So bloody annoying.

I too need to know what the creepy music was!

I didn’t see that one but if a thread of mine ended up in the paper I’d ask for it to be deleted too.

Well surely there is a risk if it ending up in the paper so why start a thread if that is a worry? I need to know what it was too lol

Sometimes I wonder if MN are in on it with journalists to get publicity and more clicks from people who read the articles in the papers but wouldn't usually have frequented the site otherwise.
