Hello all

I’m trying to get my patio down in London edges/Surrey. The quotes are between £180-£280 per sq m. That seems awfully high. Am I being taken for a fool?

Depends on a lot of factors - how much muck disposal, digger costs etc?. Is there a lot of drainage work involved? What is the base like? You will need a different/more expensive base if porcelain compared to concrete/natural stone. What are the material costs? Any steps etc...

Are you open to accepting bodies to hide underneath?

That’s just for labour and no drainage or materials included. I really don’t know what to think

Ours was about £15k for 70m2 so about £214 per m2. This included 2 sets of steps, acro drain next to bifolds and additional drainage elsewhere and 2 skips. Compacted base for porcelain and epoxy grout. It excluded the porcelain which we provided which was another £3k. We are just outside m25. This was 2020 so labour costs probably higher now.
