Lemsip - under 50kg

I’m 6 stones and I made myself a mug up of a sachet of lemsip and now I’m worried I have made a mistake. As the amount of paracetamol per sachet is 1000mg (so, 1 gram, when if you’re under 50kg it’s 500mg)

It says not to take it if you have heart disease as the decongestant causes your blood vessels to narrow. Despite ct/xray scans and my ECGs not showing anything up, I still have an arrhythmia referral due to palpitations so is it best avoiding it?

As a one off it will be fine if you are generally healthy Just make sure you don't have more than the 2g (the equivalent of 4 x 500mg doses) in 24 hour period.

If you are worried, or if you have any underlying issues that make you more vulnerable (liver/kidney disease etc) I would speak to your GP for advice

Get well soon!

Is there a medical reason you are 6 stone? (Not asking you to divulge) but if there is you may be better asking a pharmacist.

Call your local pharmacy. They will be able to advise.
