Should I call the police?

My neighbour regularly drives along our road (quite busy part of estate, lots of junctions and three big car parks but not a main road) with his DD on his lap. Today they were going at quite a speed and actually I thought they were going to go into the side of me at one of the junctions. I gave him my very best disapproving look, but perhaps I should ring the police? We have no bad blood but he's not really someone I would want to be on the bad side of, he's a very unpleasant man.

Well if you report him today he will probably know it was you, if you gave him a dirty look whilst he was doing it today...but yeah it's not safe so yanbu on that front. Depends how nasty you suspect him to be and whether you can risk it? Maybe leave it a week and report.

Anyone could report a driver, the number plate is traceable to the owner. The OP wouldn't even have to give her name when she calls to report it.

You should report it.
This is not something minor like putting bins out on the wrong day, or smoking weed in the garden. This is putting a life at risk.

Difficult, a child is in danger and we should never put our own interests before that, but he saw you glare so he knows you saw and (quite rightly) disapprove. Like others said, I think you need to report but then I don't have to live with the consequences. Can you get camera evidence discreetly?

Report it to Crimestoppers. It's completely anonymous (unless you give them your details). It's not like the police will go straight out and arrest - they'd need some evidence to do that.
At least if the worst were to happen you would know that you had done something.

If you are going to report it give it a few weeks and if you see him do it again just don’t look. Then hopefully he’ll think it was someone else
