AIBU to need a very stiff drink after watching that all day?

Spent most of today in tears.

Brought out the coffin from Westminster Hall, cried my eyes out.
Saw Charles wipe away a tear, cried my eyes out.
Heard beautiful choir with lovely angelic voices...cried my eyes out.
Taking the orb and spectre, the Crown Jewels away...cried
Final speech sending Queen Elizabeth II and all her titles to be laid to rest...sobbed
Hailing the new King and his titles....cried too.

I now need a stiff drink.

What is it going to be?

Too late now but hey have a drink if it'll make you feel better

What set me off was the end when they showed brief clips of the day and the lovely music over it. I'd managed to (just) keep it together until then.

Yep me too. I had half a bottle of wine left from last night and had some swigs from the bottle.

also how hard is it to find Dubonnet in the US. Grrrr. Will have to order some as would like to try it

I am just pleased things will go back to normal now. Those 11 days of mourning have been to much for me. Not anti royal family, just weary of it all

Have you nothing better to do than sit and watch BBC all day, every day??

Im loving catching up with Royal events. I‘m not glued to the TV though. Life, for me, continues as normal. I catch up with Royal Events because I can. If I wasn’t interested I would watch another channel, if I had nothing better to do than watch TV 🤷🏻‍♀️

I rarely watch TV to be honest, I am more of a radio fan. Hard to escape the 10 days of mourning and the funeral as in newspapers, on line, radio, friends, family and colleagues talking about it. 🤷
