how do you show respect?

Is the only way to show respect for a person to queue for hours, then perform a perfunctory nod/curtsey or genuflection before going to look at hundreds of dead flowers? Discuss!

I haven't wanted to visit the coffin but I am so interested and fascinated by the entire thing. It seems to me that it is about paying respects but also so much more than that, it's about being part of something, and I think a lot of us need that. For people queueing up I say good on you, and I hope you get what you want from the experience.

It depends on the situation. There’s no one size fits all gesture of respect.

No. There are plenty of ways to show respect. If you choose to queue and visit the coffin, that's completely fine, as are other ways. Not sure what your hoping from this thread
