You are super attractive! Congratulations on how you're keeping very fit and healthy looking.

It's a pic from a website...

CousinGregg · 17/09/2022 20:04

If its an OTT wedding abroad, why not? Church in the UK no no no!

CorpseBridesMum · 17/09/2022 20:05

No 😳

Dita73 · 17/09/2022 20:08

Yeah sure wear that. Urinate on the wedding cake while you’re at it

1984Yes · 17/09/2022 20:12

If you're the bride, then yes. Perfect.

Cas112 · 17/09/2022 20:18

To bridesmaidy

Ha ha I can't believe this is genuine, that's a shocking dress for anything let alone a wedding 😂

If it's a hooker wedding for hookers then go right ahead.

I imagine that guests at a crochet-themed wedding would be more likely to choose knitwear.

AnneKipankitoo · 17/09/2022 20:25

😂

FlissyPaps · 17/09/2022 20:25

And ignore all the nasty comments probably by jealous middle aged women who would never be able to get away with wearing something like this in there life and have to stick to boring potato sacks to cover their tummy tyre 🤷🏽‍♀️

100% this.

Women who are truly happy in their own skin do not feel the need to make snide, nasty remarks and slut shame over a hypothetical wedding guest outfit that they will never see in person.

Incredibly weird behaviour.

HoneyFlowers · 17/09/2022 20:26

That's one ugly dress.

iklboo · 17/09/2022 20:27

@Cas112 - you know OP is joking, right? Spoof thread in response to some really weird 'is this ok for a wedding' and it's basically a wedding dress itself.

Elerandooo · 17/09/2022 20:28

You look absolutely incredible in it 🔥 But I’d definitely say it’s a little too much for a wedding. You’ll definitely be in the “upstaging the bride” territory!

AnneKipankitoo · 17/09/2022 20:30

Sorry, my initial response was 😂 but I had not read the whole thread and still have not .
However , some middle aged women can wear a dress like that , but perhaps a wedding is not the most appropriate venue , unless it is an evening event.

viques · 17/09/2022 20:30

Are you joining the bride in her first pole dance?

Hawkins001 · 17/09/2022 20:31

@IcyBlonde15
if you like it, then wear it

AnneKipankitoo · 17/09/2022 20:32

Do you work for the company?

iklboo · 17/09/2022 20:33

@Elerandooo - it's a photo on the website...

AlwaysMunching · 17/09/2022 17:19

I'm not keen. It's like something my nan would wear xx

Meant to stroll by without comment, as I don't think OP needs any more negative opinions.

However, I've been puzzling for the last hour over whether the couple of Nan comments are genuine or sarcasm, as the image of either of my grandmothers even attempting anything like this is going to haunt my dreams tonight!?

In contrast, OP, you have the figure and youth to get away with this sort of style. Personally, I'm sure you can find something MUCH more flattering and appropriate, but if you think the bride wouldn't find it unsuitable for the venue/look she's chosen (ask her?), and you'd feel comfortable in it, go for it.

The fact you've asked though means you're not sure yourself, and could waste the wedding regretting it, especially as it's more of a 'red carpet strut' style, whereas during a long day of sudden activity, much hanging around, dancing, and meals and drinks at odd times, I think you'll constantly be pulling the straps up, the slit down, and the stomach in, rather than enjoying yourself.

sponsabillaries · 17/09/2022 20:35

how do you know?

santorinii · 17/09/2022 20:35

I would either go for boobs or leg as Weddings tend to be more modest events. But could be a nice dress for a different event

JudgeJ · 17/09/2022 20:41

Maireas · 17/09/2022 17:25

I'd take a cardi because it's getting chilly in the evenings now.

Or as my dear Dad used to say You need a vest!

CovertImage · 17/09/2022 20:45

Ha ha! you silly sod!

FlipFlopBattle · 17/09/2022 20:47

@sponsabillaries

I thought the original picture was of her! In that case then, correct that to "hopefully have the figure and youth to get away with it"...If it's another Nan wanting to jazz things up a bit, I'll have to edit most of my response. 😁
