I made the mistake if looking up the website and now I'm being targeted with ads for tacky dresses

Quick, get on the Cos website

LetstalkaboutBruno · 17/09/2022 17:40

Slutty Elsa vibes?

iklboo · 17/09/2022 17:42

Not for me because you'd see my thermal Bridget Jones knickers & HRT patch.

It is neither bridesmaidy nor long, if those are your specific concerns.

Yeah, modesty isn't the problem with this frock.

FlissyPaps · 17/09/2022 17:45

A lot of slut shaming on here.

I love the dress OP! But, it is very bridesmaidy.

sponsabillaries · 17/09/2022 17:46

1/10 must try harder

RuthW · 17/09/2022 17:46

Is this a joke? If course you can't wear it to a wedding

RainydaysandFridays · 17/09/2022 17:50

Where’s the other 90% of it? Erm, no not suitable

lapasion · 17/09/2022 17:50

Ru Paul’s wedding? Absolutely.

abovedecknotbelow · 17/09/2022 17:51

Crack on, you'll like a twat. And be very cold.

Needs accessorising with a long sleeved thermal vest, but not in white or people might think you’re the bride.

Do you think the Austrian Nomexs here are off-white cream enough or still running the risk of being too bridal?

Loads of young, attractive people wear this sort of style to weddings; it's fashionable! Wouldn't be my personal choice but I'm not fashionable or slim anymore!
I would say, the fact you're a bit unsure about it, it might leave you feeling uncomfortable; nothing worse than being uncomfortable at a long day like a wedding celebration.- so based on that, I would be swaying towards maybe choosing something else.

Chikapu · 17/09/2022 17:57

It's a bit 'Saturday night down the bingo hall' to me.

Spanielsarepainless · 17/09/2022 17:58

Absolutely not. I can't think of an occasion when it would be suitable, tbh.

Maireas · 17/09/2022 17:58

The cream thermals should be ok, not too bridal
Accessories? I'm thinking red DMs

MissMaple82 · 17/09/2022 17:59

God no way!

bg21 · 17/09/2022 17:59

Slutty and gross come to mind there is no appropriate place to wear that dress lol

MissMaple82 · 17/09/2022 18:00

Tarty not bridesmaidy/long

Butchyrestingface · 17/09/2022 18:00

Spanielsarepainless · 17/09/2022 17:58

Absolutely not. I can't think of an occasion when it would be suitable, tbh.

It'd have been perfect for Shagtag at Archaos in Glasgow.

<shows age>

Tulipomania · 17/09/2022 18:00

So obviously a troll. But I can't be arsed to report it.

Chatterboxy · 17/09/2022 18:02

Unless you’re planning on trying to upstage the bride, don’t do it! Choose something else.

timeofillusion · 17/09/2022 18:02

TooMuchToDoTooLittleInclination · 17/09/2022 16:40

It's too 'something' but bridesmaidy is certainly not the word I was looking for

😂

FinallyHere · 17/09/2022 18:03

As John McEnroe was wont to say "you cannot be serious".

Charlize43 · 17/09/2022 18:06

Am I being old fashioned to think it's either breast or leg but not both? Incidentally, I'm not talking about Sunday roast. Do those fashion rules still apply?

I'm not sure what that dress would be suitable for. Maybe a New Year's Eve party with a fancy dress Hollywood glamour theme. It looks like something a Mexican drag queen would wear in a Cancun nightclub during the Cabaret act. Vedettes. It's a Vedette's dress.
