What's the in joke?

There's a previous thread with am sure this dress in red for a wedding guest dress query am sure!

AppropriateAdult · 17/09/2022 17:18

It is neither bridesmaidy nor long, if those are your specific concerns.

Ilovevacations · 17/09/2022 17:18

IF this is serious…

When I got married, one of my guests turned up in a similar style, but in red, teamed with a black top hat and a black feather boa.

I didn’t mind to be honest, I was completely wrapped up in my day. But years later, that guest still provides many giggles whenever my wedding is brought up.

The look will get you attention, but not for the reason you probably want. It’s a really sexy dress, but only worn on the appropriate occasion.

AlwaysMunching · 17/09/2022 17:19

I'm not keen. It's like something my nan would wear xx

Do you want to be mistaken for the bride?

I really don’t think anyone wearing that dress will be mistaken for the bride!

Yesthatismychildsigh · 17/09/2022 17:21

😂😂😂😂 the threads are getting sillier by the minute.

I agree.

Maireas · 17/09/2022 17:25

I'd take a cardi because it's getting chilly in the evenings now.

TaureanGemini · 17/09/2022 17:27

I personally really like the dress but it's giving me beach bridesmaid vibes. What else you got?

Theprimeofmissmulroney · 17/09/2022 17:27

Nope.

Butchyrestingface · 17/09/2022 17:28

It's a 'no' from me, Simon.

wherearebeefandonioncrisps · 17/09/2022 17:28

Absolutely not!

Grumpybutfunny · 17/09/2022 17:28

If you happen to be a size 6/8 then maybe you could pull it off. We've been to very formal weddings where most of the guests are in ball length dresses so it would work but if it was a small country wedding I would say no. My bridesmaids wore & other stories lace dresses when they were the it thing so it's not necessarily the type of dress that makes it bridesmaidy

Mouk · 17/09/2022 17:28

Tacky AF!

MrsMoastyToasty · 17/09/2022 17:29

Too Vegas showgirl.

giveovernate · 17/09/2022 17:29

It's perfect! 👰‍♀️

Summerslam · 17/09/2022 17:29

You need a nice warm vest on under that or you'll catch a chill.

Maireas · 17/09/2022 17:30

You could collect quite a bit of buffet food in that train, though.

C152 · 17/09/2022 17:31

No, it looks like a bridesmaid's dress.

Topseyt123 · 17/09/2022 17:31

Joke thread, I hope. 🤣🤣

If not, it's tarty. Did someone forget to close the seam down the leg, or did it just rip?The shoulders are falling off so far that it looks like tits will soon be making an appearance. 🤣🤣

hewouldwouldnthe · 17/09/2022 17:31

no.

Sally99 · 17/09/2022 17:33

No absolutely not.

doingitforyorkshire · 17/09/2022 17:33

Nice dress but not for a wedding.

nachoavocado · 17/09/2022 17:34

I made the mistake if looking up the website and now I'm being targeted with ads for tacky dresses
