Hi I have my 12 week scan next week when I will be 11+1 I was just wondering if this was too early, especially as we want the screening tests offered at 12 weeks. Has anyone else had their scans early, and what was you told.

Thanks:)

It'll be fine. If they can't get the measurements they need then they will call you back at a later date. This scan will give you your official due date so you might find you're more pregnant than you realise.

I had mine and it turned out I was a day too early (11 plus 2) so I had to go back a week later.

Hi, I had my 12 week scan at 11+1, I did have to come back at 13+1 to get a few more measurements but I was able to see a fully formed baby bobbing away and I was totally reassured by the scan that all was OK as I was very very anxious after a long wait to have a baby and some losses along the way. So you may need to come back but they should be able to give you reassurance too even if you've to come back. Presumably they can sometimes get all they need that early or else they wouldn't call you so it could gp either way. I had to come back for my 20 week one too, my daughter just never played ball on scan day!

@Mamai90 thank you for your response:) did they take your bloods at 11 week scan or 13 week scan?

Yes i went at 10+5 and had to go back 2 weeks later. No issue but a bit of a waste of time.
