To have snapped at DP?

We're on holiday at the moment, UK break. Yesterday out of nowhere I began getting severe upper abdominal pain. I thought it was period related at first as I'm due on but I'm now satisfied that it is unrelated as its my upper abdomen and nothing like I've ever had before.

No walk ins around here so I have to wait until I go home tomorrow morning and will likely go to A&E If it doesn't improve.

I mentioned to DP that I wondered whether its my gallbladder / gallstones. I'm rocking back and forth on the bed as I'm speaking to him and I've been crying from the pain.

He says "nah it won't be that, you'd be in too much pain"

I snapped at him, swore, and said what does it fucking look like I'm in then.

It reminds me of the time I got my PTSD diagnosis and he said that the soldiers who went to war get "worse" PTSD.

He always has to downplay things. Always.

I'm so miserable and in so much pain. Fucking dick.

He is definitely a dick.

Do you need to call 111? Sounds awful 😖

Fairislefandango · 15/09/2022 22:23

He's an absolute twat. It certainly sounds like it could be gallstones.

FlissyPaps · 15/09/2022 22:26

Omg what an awful think to say re: PTSD. He sounds awful.

Id ring 111 if I was you.

He thinks it's something I've picked up here from the food (butlins) as our DC have had a couple of unpleasant nappies which is probably a coincidence, it can't possibly be food poisoning though as I have no D&V.. or can it?

I think I will ring 111 and see what they say.

Definitely ring 111. Sudden unexplained pain should be taken seriously.
