Messed up a job opportunity

Long story short - did an interview. Lots of prep, ideal job.
Got offered the job, less money than I wanted but could have coped.
Said no on phone and then panicked and rang back to ask for an hour
Job had already been offered.

I'm such an idiot!

Don't regret your decision! It's super easy to do that, but you made a choice and be strong about that. I've done the same - a big job in fashion and turned it down to stay in my current job as they counter offered when I handed in my resignation. Went back to the job I said yes to and told them i now couldn't accept! Felt so sick about it for months but then realized I made a choice and to be proud of it. The right job will come up.
