AIBU?
To ask why my thread was removed?
CherryIsNotTheOnlyFruit · 15/09/2022 10:29
When I put it in AIBU - so that people could tell me exactly why I was BU or not. Is no debate allowed on mnet any more? I expressed an opinion, concern for a particular age group and some confusion and asked for feedback. Is the area of debate I opened so sensitive that one can no longer ask questions? Shutting the thread down before people had even answered is exactly the issue with the debate I was talking about. Ask questions, state an opinion, prepare to be either abused or shut down. I think that's how all effective mass delusions take hold - by refusing to allow questioners to ask questions. I have emailed you directly too for some feedback, I look forward to hearing it.
Am I being unreasonable?

Are you asking us or MNHQ? If it’s the latter you would be better posting in Site Stuff.
Grandeur · 15/09/2022 10:37
I don't know what your thread was but didn't they leave a deletion message? And yes, it would be better to post this in Site Stuff.
Sparklingbrook · 15/09/2022 10:38
Post in site stuff, report this thread to them or email them. What was the deletion message though-that'll say why.
ZeroFuchsGiven · 15/09/2022 10:40
I read your thread, although I didnt comment I completely agree with everything you said.
CherryIsNotTheOnlyFruit · 15/09/2022 10:56
It's ok, I've been in touch with MNHQ now - forgot there was a 'site stuff' section! The deletion message said 'not in the spirit' which was a bit vague.
@ZeroFuchsGiven - other opinions is what I wanted to hear, hence putting it in AIBU! If I just wanted agreement I probably would have put it in the feminist section

Opinions are always shared here. But there are limits.
depends on what it was about ‘sharing concern about an age group’ could vary wildly from ‘ I am concerned about the impact of xyz on teens’ to ‘Gen Z are a bunch of snowflakes who won’t survive in the real world and their parents are to blame because they are a hit’
Mayorquimby2 · 15/09/2022 11:08
MNHQ have become ridiculous in what they choose to delete the last 6-12 months.
Genuinely near the point of ruining the site.
Thread not going the way an OP wants even though there's nothing identifying in it - pulled.
Have an opinion that goes against mnhq's position on a subject - gone
Spirit of the site ffs 😂

This thread will be deleted as it’s a TAAT.
@CherryIsNotTheOnlyFruit MN are very sensitive about threads about transgender questions and how the question is phrased.
