sammy343 · 13/09/2022 18:48

Hi all I've recently purchased a few Prosecco glasses made by Tescos own brand. Need to find out what material they're made out of ..

They feel like half way glass half plastic ..

Has anyone got any ideas? It doesn't say on the box

So random. Contact tesco not mumsnet.

EllaPaella · 13/09/2022 20:39

Or google the glasses on Tesco website? It'll tell you in product details.

Look on the website or drop one and see what happens.

nachoavocado · 14/09/2022 07:55

Smash one and see what happens?

Or give them a tweet.

sammy343 · 14/09/2022 08:10

Thanks everyone

I'll get in touch with them.

We smashed one recently by accident and toddler ate a piece (don't ask)

The doctors on the phone were asking what type of glass it was

So random. Contact tesco not mumsnet.

Because you've never started a random thread asking Mumsnetters a question they might not know the answer to.

This!!!! 😂
It's the equivalent of asking what time Tesco shuts on Facebook, Google exists for a reason 😂😂😂😂

StanleyStanleyStanley · 14/09/2022 08:31

Do you have a link to the glasses? Someone might recognise them and know.

PAFMO · 14/09/2022 08:33

@FredaFox
An AS shows just how many perfectly googleable questions you've asked, so wind your neck in.

Charlize43 · 14/09/2022 08:36

Whenever I see, hear or read anything about Tesco, I always get the associated image of the late Isabella Blow trying to kill herself by driving her car in the back of a Tesco's lorry and then when she survived declaring, ‘I always hated Tesco’s’.

It's just one of those things!

Really? I work with glass and it really does not matter what type of glass it is when it's been swallowed or it's caused an injury, it's fucking GLASS and it has the same reaction no matter what type it is. 🙄

There might be a difference between whether it shows up on an X-Ray, perhaps? (Plastic/normal glass/lead Crystal)
