Feeling on edge

Anybody have any natural solutions for anxiety?

I’m not sure if it’s peri menopause or something else, but I feel so anxious recently, even when I wake, that feeling is there.
I’m 44 and having weird, heavy periods that stop and start the last couple of months

Reluctant to go straight onto anti anxiety tablets, what else can I try first, do any over the counter medicines work? 🤷🏻‍♀️

The NICE advice for new anxiety when menopausal is HRT, not anti-depressants. Have a look at the menopause board here, and on menopausematters website and then talk to your GP.

NICE Guidelines for public

Many HRT options are bio identical ie the same as the hormones you have been producing yourself. Eg oestrogel and Utrogestan.

Otherwise you could try relaxation techniques and meditation. Loads of free resources on YouTube.

Go and chat to your GP about HRT. I have moved onto this in the last week and my mood/mind has already improved (admittedly probably slightly a placebo effect this early).
