Myself and my child came across an aggressive man who was either drunk or on drugs yesterday afternoon on the way back from the shops who did a lot of name calling threatened me with a knife. It's been reported but now I have this huge fear of leaving the house especially with my child. I walk the same direction to work everyday but im terrified after finding out this man has been following women in the area for the past week.

It is disturbing to encounter someone like this, and often the more you think about it, the scarier it becomes. Go on Amazon and order yourself a personal alarm, and make sure you know how to use it. Make sure your phone is in your hand or in an easily reached pocket.

Then...go out. Make it a short walk if you like, but go out. You know you can call the police if something happens again. I am glad you weren't hurt, but dont let your fear dominate your life.
