To think cancelling comedy shows for 2 weeks is a bit much?

I tried to watch some shows on BBC iPlayer but the latest episodes weren't available. Waited a few days and still not available, which was strange.
Thought it was an issue with my account, until someone informed me that BBC have cancelled the release of all comedy episodes for 2 weeks out of respect for the Queen.

Whilst I was upset and saddened to hear of the Queen's death and have the upmost respect for her, I don't see how cancelling completely unrelated TV shows is relevant or necessary. I understand it's their way of showing respect but at the same time it's just a bit too far really. People are allowed to still enjoy their lives and watch things they enjoy.

Your Queen has died, you must be sad. You should not be watching funny TV but instead you should take to the streets and be weeping and wailing. Wear black and admire all the images of your late Queen on electronic billboards & websites. We will tell you when you can be happy again.

Radio 4 had Mark Steel on today at 6.30

I wonder if they will have any more comedy on this week?
