To have complained about rotten fruit delivered?

I had my weekly Iceland shop delivered this morning and, unfortunately, a punnet of strawberries I ordered were all rotten, squelchy and almost liquified in the punnet. Only a couple of edible ones left on top. I had to bin the rest of them. There was no damage to punnet to suggest they'd been sqaushed, dropped or anything.
Also received a pack of carrot batons that were so dried out and shriviled up, today's date at the best before date.
I called to complain (FWIW I hate to complain but object to spending my money in good faith on things that aren't edible). The woman who answered the phone was huffing and puffing, like I was disturbing her. Reluctantly agreed to send a new box of strawberries round next time driver is in my area (this evening) but I was made to feel a nuisance.
Would others call to complain about rotton/dried out food being delivered?

Yes, of course complain. I do this often, online retailers tend to just give you your money back. Take a photo for proof.

YANBU to complain, of course.

YANBU to complain - I would have done the same and expected replacements or full refund.
I have had this experience with strawberries on occasion - they have been kept too cold and then go to mush as they return to room temperature.

I complain to Tesco and send a photo. Always get my money refunded.

Iceland aren’t great about short dates, I was told same day expiry dates are fine Hmm, Tesco are much better and I’ve been refunded before for the same, they never quibble over refunding gone off items.

Raspberries…. It’s impossible for find decent, non mushy raspberries. I’m always sending fruit back. The amount they must waste doesn’t bare thinking about.

100% I would complain. But then, my husband thinks I'm shameless cos if I buy 3 peppers in a bag and 1 has gone off but the other 2 are OK, I use the 2 and take the 3rd back to the shop to complain.

Then they give me 3 peppers again. I don't think they should be able to get away with palming off bad stock on people.
