To ask mumsnet for medical advice?

I know I am really but I can't find anything via Google. So going to ask the hive mind.

About five days ago I had a sudden pain in my chest when eating the first mouthful of lunch. And now whenever I eat or drink anything I get a crush pain in my chest.

I don't think it's indigestion because it happens the second I swallow anything, even water, before anything has been digested.

In every other way feel completely fine and am managing to force food and drink down, it just hurts.

And ideas?

See your GP. Don’t ask google or strangers on the internet for medical advice.

Why the fuck would you ask MN for medical advice

Call 111

A crushing chest pain really does warrant a call to 111 at the very least (but is probably more of a 999 job).

I just wondered if anyone had anything similar.

It's been on and off for five days so not a medical emergency.

It's the weekend and there's no way of getting hold of a gp

You could google "Barretts Oesophagus".

Better still see your GP.
