Need quick help - bathroom tiles, need to choose now

Have decorated en-suite with Victorian floor tiles, white wall tiles half way up the wall … was planning to put the same wall tiles up the shower wall (to the top) but now I’m thinking it looks boring! Thinking I should do a shower cubicle feature wall (blue patterns?) but whatever I decide I need to decide right now as DH needs to get them today and return the white ones!

YABU - keep it white
YANBU - it will need a feature wall!

Keep it white! Ours is white with grey grout and looks great!

The back wall of my shower is cobalt in an otherwise white bathroom and it looks amazing

I'd keep it white, it might be a bit dull, but it won't age as quickly.

User181019 · 11/09/2022 13:25

Sounds like our bathroom. We kept it matt white with grey grout. Half tiled except for the walk in shower which is full height. Rest of the wall we painted Farrow& Ball Stiffkey Blue and put up some framed pictures to add interest.

OldTinHat · 11/09/2022 13:29

White. Won't date so fast.

White is very unimaginative. Get something funky In there. We have some gorgeous rustic silver metallic ones, it really is stunning.

Thatiswild · 11/09/2022 13:38

I’d go with a contrast. We went all white as I couldn’t decide and it is so uninspiring.

BrioNotBiro · 11/09/2022 13:39

Depends how big the room is. If it's small and you already have patterned floor tiles I'd keep it simple as there's a lot of stuff - towels, bottles. loo rolls, etc - to put in yet.

Can to lay the white tiles Herringbone and then a grey grout?

Or 2 walls of the shower white and one dark blue tile?

Painting the upper walls in a dark colour is fun and easily changed! White framed pictures look amazing on a dark wall

MissSmiley · 11/09/2022 13:44

My en-suite is white but the tiles in the shower are pink, same tiles just a different colour, they weren't expensive but they look great. Downstairs shower room is big square marble tiles (porcelain), same on the walls and in the shower, it's stunning

EbbyEbs · 11/09/2022 14:55

Pretty much 50/50 😂 thanks guys! 😂

ok I’ve decided to do the white tiles in the herringbone style so it will still break it up against the other wall tiles.

Im going to paint the upper walls a blue colour and will get a nice coloured rug and and obviously the towels etc will all add blue splashes of colour ☺️

I say feature wall, but nothing Grey as that is looking as outdated as a 1970s brown sofa now
