They've cancelled our away day?

So, there's been COVID, there's been working out of office, there's been a shit couple of years.

We have an away day planned for next Tuesday at work so we can all meet, have some light relief and enjoy ourselves. But, now they've cancelled it as "a mark of respect" for the queen's passing.

I loved her majesty, and am very saddened at her death :( but I reckon she'd have wanted us to continue with our away day!

What is this nonsense?

It’s nonsense , but it’s probably been cancelled by an organiser who is looking forward to saving some costs and their energy and didn’t really want to go so have found the perfect excuse

I trust they will also cancel having to attend work.

Its crap isnt it? I wonder if we are in the 16th C or something! I too liked the Queen very much ,She was a true Role model for many people .However I dont see that cancelling events is any "mark of respect" A 2 minute silence should be adequate
