Can anyone identify who is depicted in this statue? Is it a Hindu goddess perhaps?

Looks female, might be Tara

Well the headdress looks to be in the style of the Buddha but isn't he always depicted as seated or lying? And yes, the statue does look quite female to me.

Not always, Buddha statues come in different postures which mean different things.

I'm looking at descriptions of Tara now, it does say she has a third eye so you could be right.
