Apparently a new TikTok trend with teenagers to braid their hair into their horses tail 😱😱😱! So dangerous - if the horse spooked at something, the person would be seriously injured/ killed 😱😱.

Christ, if they'd tried that with mine he'd have launched them.

Tik tok is a menace.

ZeroFuchsGiven · 07/09/2022 15:13

I seen that image the other day, I couldnt muster up anything other that WTAF.

What an absolute idiot.

I'm not sure if it is a tiktok thing tbh, I seen it on fb and it was that exact image.

Darwinism

VoiceaFromUranus · 07/09/2022 15:16

Why would you want to tie yourself to a horse? A huge twitchy beast whose natural reaction to most things is RUN FORREST RUN.

Social media. The gift that keeps on giving.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 07/09/2022 15:16

Jesus.

Anf this is why I don't have TikTok, or allow my daughter to have it.

It's dubious at best, and utterly dangerous at worst. A lot of social media encourages sheep like behaviour, and there have been some tragic consequences as a result.

I wish someone would just pull the plug on it.

Darwinism

At its finest

Pepsipepsi · 07/09/2022 15:17

Wow that's more stupid than I could have imagined before I clicked on this thread. Sigh.
The depths of human stupidity never ceases to amaze me.
It always cheers me up though to remember a USA National Parks Ranger when commenting on the state of litter bins... "There's a significant overlap of intelligence between the smartest bears and the dumbest humans." 😂

GuerlainHo · 07/09/2022 15:18

These trends are getting VERY ridiculous

I hope the horse lets out a wet fart and sprays her…

Georgeskitchen · 07/09/2022 15:20

Apart from the danger of the horse bolting, who would want to be that close to its arse?

Bananalanacake · 07/09/2022 15:20

How long do they stay like that? So the human would have to eat meals and sleep in the stable.

Fiwere25again · 07/09/2022 15:20

@RainbowZebraWarrior Sadly, something else would replace it.

HoofWankingSpangleCunt · 07/09/2022 15:20

These are the occasions that I like to trot out (ba dum tish) the observation that if we think about a person of average intelligence…then half the population will be below that.

Darwinism

Beat me to it lol 😆
Some people are just as think as posts 🤯

Christmasiscominghohoho · 07/09/2022 15:24

Fucking idiots

REP22 · 07/09/2022 15:25

That's scary. Do some people actually WANT to win a Darwin Award?

As you say, horses can be easily spooked and unpredictable. And have explosive diarrhoea.

Porcupineintherough · 07/09/2022 15:27

Surely not that many teens have access to horses? And those that do hopefully know a bit about them ie better than to do this? One would hope.

FictionalCharacter · 07/09/2022 15:28

Good grief. But it’s just another example of people treating animals like cuddly toys, instead of living beings with emotions and behaviours specific to their species. In the case of horses, as a PP said, the response to most things especially surprises is RUN FORREST RUN. Even the calmest horse is still a horse with a horse brain.

TooMuchToDoTooLittleInclination · 07/09/2022 15:30

I've just sent it to the horse mad 16yo to see if she'd heard about it. I'll report back.

I love horses, I've put in matching braids & ribbons... but felt the need to plait our hair together, especially at the arse end with hooves...ummmm...no.

I agree if tik tok was removed, something else would take its place.

instilling some common sense in your kids us all you can do! But you need it yoursekf first, and that's often the problem!!

MarieVanGoethem · 07/09/2022 15:32

I have no words. That poor horse. If it belongs to that young women she’s unfit to own it; & if she’s doing that to a riding school pony somewhere she should be barred. Frankly if it’s her horse & in livery somewhere they should kick her out & warn every other yard for miles about her because she is clearly unsafe to be around equines.

justagirlstandinginfrontofcake · 07/09/2022 15:34

No. It's not a Tiktok trend. It's ONE photo doing the rounds claiming to be linked to Tiktok. Please, before sharing such things, at least spent 15 seconds googling it to check it out

the fact it is being forwarded is the issue, whether or not on tik tok or other such site

ILoveLemon · 07/09/2022 15:39

Natural selection at its finest 🙄

tootiredtoocare · 07/09/2022 15:42

I mean, it can't really be a 'thing' can it? How many kids even have the opportunity to be this close to a horse? Also, this smacks of Daily Fail reporting on "the snowflake generation" to be honest. These things are never 'trends' until some idiot decides they are from one stupid photo like this.

AuntMasha · 07/09/2022 15:49

Daft as a brush.
