They are going to have to carry some of the stuff to a fifth floor flat (stairs). They’re pretty cheap £500 for move to about three hours away - three blokes.

I’m happy to give a tip. As said they’re pretty cheap.

im not sure of the etiquette- do I give a cash tip direct to the guys - add some on to the payment?

I’ll also get some biscuits etc.

WIBU to tip or is that ott/not expected.

I’ve moved lots but not for a long time - and when I used to move I used to be a lot more skint and I don’t think it occurred to me to tip!

If you can afford it and you are happy with there work then I would give a tip.
Last year when I moved I gave each chap £10 each to get a pint or whatever. Also keep them topped up with drinks. I even popped to Greggs over lunchtime and got them a cold drink and a cake. But they would be grateful for anything.
I'm hopefully moving again soon and will do the same if they do as good a job as last time. 😊

A family member works for a removals and always appreciates a tip.
If you're giving one I'd suggest straight to the people doing the job rather than onto the charge for the service - you never know if they'll actually get it when you do that.

I always buy bacon butties, supply plenty of drinks (hot and cold), and give a pack of larger for them to share once they've finished. It's always gone down well (I think!)
