Just opinions really

My children attend hospital every week for life saving treatment, I am absolutely sick to death of parents parking in disabled bays an sitting their without badges an refusing to move when I have to get 2 children in who are disabled and need treatment?!? A few weeks ago this happened and she was parked in a disabled bay and on the edge of another bay so left hardly any room.... I literally sqoze into the bay with 2 sets of badges and because I did this I returned to my car 12 hours later to an abusive stupid letter !! Calling me a C* for not leaving her enough room ???
The car park is a big walk for my kids specially one who gets upset having to go anyway and their isn't many bays so it is bloody annoying
It's just really thrown me of driving their again as their was no need for a letter to be left on my car like that and I really don't want to drive anymore as I can't handle the parking but to get transport takes double the time and we're their all day as it is, im just so so anxious about returning

When people are parked without disabled badges and refusing to move I would get out of my car, take photos of their car which clearly show where they are parked and with no badge and email to their parking dept.

If they're parked there without a badge, knock on their window and ask them if they have one and it not to move. If they won't, just park behind them.

The go into reception and tell the security guard and they will move them.

I was about to say send photos to the parking company but someone thought faster than me! Ring them or hospital security. Tell staff in the department too.

JustAWeirdoWithNoName · 06/09/2022 16:07

That sounds awful! Please let the hospital staff know about the parking situation and the note. Most hospitals have their parking managed by an external company who should be sending round car parking attendants to minimise this (people who get fined once will be less likely to do it again).

Contact PALS at the hospital and ask them how you should deal with it in future. They should be able to advise or give you the number of someone to call should it happen again

Well another parent told me to park on the path (around the back out the way and get a ticket, once you appeal they squash it due to circumstances and the lack of bays) so I usually do this but I just think why do I need to do this all the time an have to get a ticket because people are been Damn right lazy ?! So iv emailed the parking company who are usually really good to be honest and told them what's happened and that I'm sick of their been no attendants looking for these people an moving them .
It's just thrown me going again? No need for the abusive letter what so ever !
