Been debating with friends -

How would you feel if your DH/DP was searching/getting off on Instagram pages that are explicit/topless glamour models?

The same way I do about porn

I'd not give a shiny shit

10HailMarys · 06/09/2022 13:10

If he was just looking at them, and our sex life was OK, I probably wouldn't care. I follow male celebrities I'm attracted to on Instagram. Pretty normal to want to look at hot people, I think.

If he was leaving comments, liking their pics, messaging etc that would be different. But just looking? No problem.

FWIW, Instagram bans topless and sexually explicit shots, so if someone's husband is on Instagram for his kicks, that's pretty mild. It's going to be bikini shots and sexy poses, rather than anything hardcore.

Snoozysnoozy · 06/09/2022 13:12

I'd ask where he found these explicit pages as Instagram is quite strict where nudity is concerned.

T90 · 06/09/2022 13:15

To clarify -

we were arguing about Instagram pages that have girls with boobs/arses half hanging out in bikinis/wearing g strings that kind of thing/posing in a sexy position etc

im aware Instagram are very strict

Not for me, I don't think it's a respectful thing to do in a relationship, I certainly wouldn't do it and I wouldn't accept it from a partner. It's sleazy and gross.

Why would you argue over that?

Never been to a beach op?

HeythereDelilah101 · 06/09/2022 13:39

Nope not respectful. But i am one of those people that believe when you are with someone you love and want to share your life with, you don’t want to look at others! So yeah I think it’s wrong. I personally don’t look at other men, or even notice them, because im happy with what I’ve got.

Notimeforaname · 06/09/2022 14:00

It's a bit sad. An adult with a whole life...sitting online lookin for pictures of peoples half naked bodies. I wouldn't argue about it but it's a tad sad.

Calphurnia88 · 06/09/2022 17:20

Depends.

If my partner followed a few scantily clad women in and amongst other pages he follows (random celebrities, brands, meme accounts) it wouldn't bother me. In fact, I'm pretty sure he does.

If he only followed scantily clad women, and/or spent an excessive amount of time browsing their photos, and/or actually interacted with them (commenting on their photos for example) then I would be bothered.

What's your view OP?

Really? No celebrity crush? Not at all. Never once seen someone and thought they're attractive?

Lunabun · 07/09/2022 07:25

I only know a few men who openly follow/interact with these types of pages, and I find it so cringeworthy and tragic. If my husband did anything of the sort I would honestly die of embarrassment.

I also think it's disrespectful to make a public show of ogling someone who isn't your partner.

I'm sure lots of men look at this stuff in private, but it's so embarrassing to follow/like/comment and the majority of men I know don't do it.

Not really. If I see an attractive man, I know he’s attractive but that’s it. That’s where it ends. I don’t turn my head or give him a second look. Just genuinely happy with what I have. And I never notice my partner looking at anyone either so if he does he doesn’t make it known to me

Lunabun · 07/09/2022 10:53

I'm the same @HeythereDelilah101 !! Since I met my husband, I can objectively acknowledge that someone is attractive but I just don't feel anything about it anymore... it just does absolutely nothing for me. I have been wondering if I'm broken 🤣
