To be worried about my weight

So, let me just put this into perspective. When I gave birth to my second child I was almost 18 stone. Following his birth I had terrible PND (never suffered with depression before) I’m a lot better now and trying to have a good diet but I’m worried I have lost too much weight too soon? I am now 9at 6 and 5th 8. I absolutely love my figure and feel so proud of myself but is it normal to lose all that weight in the space of 2 years?

What did you do to loose the weight? Only them can we gauge whether or not it's "normal"; many factors could be at play.

I could not eat my anxiety was that bad. I literally had no appetite. Since I have lost the weight I have just tried to not binge eat like I used to and not snack etc. I do eat now and have 2 big meals a day (cannot stand breakfast) part of me feels super proud of myself as I never thought this would happen (although I wish the circumstances were different)

Well done op. I think two good meals a day is fine. I lost about 11 stone in just over a year and didn't drop dead. (Surgery) Did take vitamins though

It's not really a 'normal' way to loose weight. But I guess you can use it to your advantage now you are feeling better by trying to maintain it.

Well done to you too! I honestly never thought I would get my figure back!!!

I will eat a large lunch like poached egg on toast with beans, cheese on toast etc then have a huge dinner.

That sounds like a perfectly healthy couple of meals, OP. Congratulations on your little one and for getting through your PND!

Brilliant weight loss but you appear to have lost it through disordered eating. If you genuinely are now eating well then that’s great but I would try to be very aware of disordered patterns.

Have you been treated for your anxiety?

cherish123 · 05/09/2022 21:29

If you can maintain it, it's perfectly healthy. We'll done to you.

You're a great weight for your height now. I'm the same height and my perfect weight is 9 st exactly (I'm a few pounds over that now and would like to get back to it). I currently weigh 9 st 4 and I think anywhere from about 8 st 12 to 9 st 7 looks great at our height. Well done x

Yes I have been taking sertraline, it saved my life! I was really really struggling and when I look back now I can’t believe that person was me!
