To let DD sleep for this long!?

I have high anxiety and doubt my decisions daily so sorry if this seems a silly thing to post about.

My 16 mo DD is fast asleep and has been napping now for 2.5 hours, this is highly unusual. She always naps for 1.5-2 hrs in a morning - she had that nap and woke about 10.30 from that. Her afternoon naps are hit and miss, sometimes she will nap briefly (usually an hour or less) and other days she has no nap in the afternoon all.

She's been asleep since 2pm! She does have a cold/snotty nose / cough and hasn't been herself so maybe she needs more sleep because of that. I'm wondering if I just let her sleep even longer or wake her for some tea this is usually her tea time. I'm also worried if I leave her to sleep any longer she won't sleep tonight.

WWYD?

If she is sick, let her sleep. Being ill is exhausting.

I've always just let mine sleep. Usually when he slept longer than usual he was starting with a cold or some sort of bug.

I have never woken my children up unless it's to get to school or something. Let her sleep

Thanks for the replies. Going to let her carry on sleeping. I do worry she will be bouncing off the walls tonight at bed time though 🙈

I always wake mine up. Otherwise they will not sleep at night and I never fancy being up until 2/3am but mine hate sleep so it really depends

Leave her to sleep, she’ll be fine. Probably just under the weather
