I’ve honestly no idea why this is a question you have to ask the internet or the relevance of your own/your husband’s age.

Just what I was thinking.

teenagetantrums · 30/08/2022 17:07

I live by the sea. Even though we are grown ups we have about 10,000 points on our card. When we have visiting kids we let them get that what they want with them.
In your case.. both kids keep what they won. You split your tickets between them. What plastic tat do you want for yourself

Yup

Amandasummers · 30/08/2022 16:38

Well the adults need to get a grip....just split between the 2 kids surely

Yep.

catandcoffee · 30/08/2022 17:25

split between the kids obviously 🙄

MarinoRoyale · 30/08/2022 17:26

Obviously the adults as they presumably funded the 2p machines. If the kids cry, tell them they can have the tickets when the pay for themselves. HTH 🙄

Dottysmum18 · 30/08/2022 17:29

Thank you you have all validated my idea of how this should be shared my DH is upset he will not get a share

MintyGreenDreams · 30/08/2022 17:31

Just the kids!

Poppyblush · 30/08/2022 17:32

Your dh sounds pathetic

KnowtheBand · 30/08/2022 17:34

Kids get what they won and the adults give half each to DC.

Unless you have enough for something really good (surely not?)then you "spend" them on something for the family.

Anonymous48 · 30/08/2022 17:35

What on earth does your and your husband's ages have to do with it?

Xiaoxiong · 30/08/2022 17:35

I would ask if he is 5 years old, except you've already said he's 31. He needs to get a fucking grip!

Perhaps your DH could just go and buy himself some haribos and a fidget spinner instead. If he wants a more authentic arcade experience he could pay £10 more than the items are actually worth.

florenceandthemac · 30/08/2022 17:36

Is this a joke? Grin

Agreed

Bubblesandsqueak1 · 30/08/2022 17:43

Whoever wins keeps and if adult wants something they should too and tge rest split with kids ie any spare some of the prizes can be canny ones roo not all shit

gettingolderandgrumpier · 30/08/2022 17:45

the prizes are plastic tat so if your dh wants a bubble gun or plastic soldiers ? Kids love them but anyone over the age of 18 give over .

Quartz2208 · 30/08/2022 17:45

Exactly @Dottysmum18 what does he want a share of? Are the prizes not totally aimed at children.

But if that is the case you have married a manchild

PuttingDownRoots · 30/08/2022 17:46

DDs always combined to get something reasonably decent. But they are close in age.

Saying that, we got two magnetic board games and a pile of sweets this year and only started with £4.

KnowtheBand · 30/08/2022 17:48

If there really are loads to go round, I don't think it's unreasonable that dad gets a share, if he won some. It doesn't do kids any good to think they're always prioritised over everyone else. What is it that dad wants with his tickets?

JubileeTissues · 30/08/2022 17:49

Haha, what does he want?

Wisteriaroundthedoor · 30/08/2022 17:52

God the things you read on here. Grown adults trying to take 2p prize tickets off their own kids And having to ask mumsnet.

thr mind boggles.

Antarcticant · 30/08/2022 17:52

What are the prizes? Are they worth having from an adult perspective? If so, let your husband keep what he has won, and split yours between your DC if you want to. If the prizes are teddy bears or something and your H is being a dick for the sake of it, tell him so.

User287264 · 30/08/2022 17:52

Well at our local amusement arcade we'd have to pool everyone's tickets to be able to buy a packet of sweeties between us.

But one day I got super lucky and won enough to get myself a unicorn. That was a great day.
