And I don't feel even the slightest bit unreasonable. In fact, I bought them knowing that I'd sit and eat them all as soon as I got home.

What do you regularly buy, knowing that you will use/eat the lot of it?

In ours "battenburg"is called- "depression cake"...nbdy else even likes it.but.they know.thats mine too

Favouritefruits · 29/08/2022 20:58

Crunchy nut hazlenut and chocolate granola is my weakness! I eat it without milk straight from the bag. I can’t buy it anymore as 16portions don’t last a week with me.

goodiegoodiegumdrops · 29/08/2022 21:00

I would never buy something like this knowing I am definitely going to eat the lot. I ate almost an entire tub of salted caramel cart d'or ice cream the other week (only saved by my daughter who came in and caught me hiding the tub under the paper, and whipped it away from me.) I was disgusted with myself and regretted it, it wasn't planned at all but I found it really hard to stop..,overeating like this is gross, nothing to be proud of. And really bad for our health if we do it regularly.

Therunecaster · 29/08/2022 21:04

Battenburg. A whole cake with a cup of tea!

sleighbellsjiggling · 29/08/2022 21:05

I've just remembered the frozen chocolate gateaux that used to be around. I'd sneak spoonfuls from the fridge all day at Xmas and be horrified by how little was left. God they were amazing... Maybe Sara Lee?

Floydthebarber · 29/08/2022 21:06

Jaffa cakes. Can't buy them as I eat them all. And don't care!

Ikeepbuyinganimals · 29/08/2022 21:10

Viennese whirls, jaffa cakes, chocolate fingers, pretty much any share bag/block of cadbury.

Cheesecake in the past - took years to build up to eating one in a single sitting. I went cold turkey and avoid that now as one of them was my whole calorie allowance for the day and i know i can't stop at one slice 🤣

fancytulip · 29/08/2022 21:12

Kettle crisps, big bag. Aaaaahhh I need to diet

Oh god, you're just like your username, two shoes

goodiegoodiegumdrops · 29/08/2022 21:14

You're all BU. Think of the NHS and take better care of yourselves.

goodiegoodiegumdrops · 29/08/2022 21:15

I know my username is very apt!!

Montasaurus · 29/08/2022 21:15

My claim to fame is despite being tall and very slim, I can eat so much sugar if I am hungover…

5 Krispy Kremes and two cups of tea in one hungover sitting was impressive.

Oh god Sara Lee gateau was the best...

JohnsShirt · 29/08/2022 21:15

Cheese, any and all cheese.
I absolutely love it.

Dibbydoos · 29/08/2022 21:17

Revels chocs grab bag. Honestly I don't care there are orange/coffee ones, finding the caramel one just makes my day, lol!!!

Antarcticant · 29/08/2022 21:17

If it wouldn't make me gain a stone overnight, I'd buy three two packets of French Fancies and just eat the pink and yellow ones and then eat the meh brown ones anyway, what the heck Grin

Smileatthesmallthings · 29/08/2022 21:18

Brie.
Blue cheese.
Crispy duck from the Chinese!

GeorgeorRuth · 29/08/2022 21:20

Big bag of Doritos and accompanying mild salsa dip...on my own

EugeneLevysEyebrow · 29/08/2022 21:23

I’m finding this thread strangely refreshing. I think I’ve read a few too many of the mumsnet food related threads where everyone seemingly never eats carbs, or only eats one meal a day, or whatever. And are horrified anyone would order a pudding after eating a whole main course.

While I’m pretty sure 90% of posters on those threads are bullshitting, it’s refreshing to read a thread of (mostly) women unashamedly talking about occasionally eating too much junk food.

Arnaquer · 29/08/2022 21:25

I can't even eat one French fancy let alone a pack, they are so sweet.
I'm genuinely shocked that some of you can eat so much in one go.
I like my food but there is some gluttony on here. And yes I know I will be flamed.

GettingStuffed · 29/08/2022 21:26

Peanuts

Rosscameasdoody · 29/08/2022 21:27

Good for you, sing it sister !! Don’t know if I could eat a whole pack of them though - a bit sweet. Fox’s Ginger Crunch Creams are not safe around me. Fab dipped in coffee !! Does anyone remember marshmallows sitting on a round biscuit and covered in coconut ? I used to love them but can’t remember what they were called.

goodiegoodiegumdrops · 29/08/2022 21:28

Nobody is saying it's occasional though, why are you assuming that? I'm finding it really gross - binge eating is not a good thing.

Cervinia · 29/08/2022 21:29

I always thought a box of fondant fancies was a portion, I mean, if you line them up they are only the size of a large slice of cake right?
