And I don't feel even the slightest bit unreasonable. In fact, I bought them knowing that I'd sit and eat them all as soon as I got home.

What do you regularly buy, knowing that you will use/eat the lot of it?

Is anyone else using this thread to make a shopping list?

😄😄

bearess1978 · 29/08/2022 19:26

Sour cream pringles and haribo tangtastics 🙂

Coastalcreeksider · 29/08/2022 19:26

Have your teeth fallen out yet,?

Aldi sell custard tarts but only in boxes of four and they don't usually have a long date on them

I usually eat two with a cup of tea when I get home with them and then the other two while watching TV in the evening.

I buy them rarely for this reason.

Ori1 · 29/08/2022 19:27

Oh no. Here goes;

A whole tub of Häagen-Dazs
Cream slices with icing on top
Those new crunchy wotzits. I can do 3 packs in one sitting - they’re to die for, I need a restraining order against me TBH

MarsupiIami · 29/08/2022 19:28

I do share the mixed French Fancies but strongly suggest whoever I’m offering them to takes the pink ones. I don’t share the lemon boxes, unless I bought a second box for that purpose 😂.

I did once try to share some revels with my nephew, but he found the unpredictability a bit difficult and tried to take all the counters. Never again!

Jaffa cakes, borders lemon biscuits.

velvetvixen · 29/08/2022 19:29

Cornish wafer biscuits for cheese. Scoff the lot.

Wheresthebeach · 29/08/2022 19:30

Jam Doughnut
Ritz crackers…

ChineAndWheeseParty · 29/08/2022 19:30

Tunnocks Teacakes

Vecnasnurse · 29/08/2022 19:31

Jaffa cakes are known as crack cakes in our house. I could probably eat a pallet of those little lemon cheesecakes from Aldi in the glass ramekins.

TallTrees78 · 29/08/2022 19:33

Squares crisps - can eat 3 packets in a row.

Sharing bags of crisps and Pringles - I force myself to stop half way or Id keep going till I was finished.

Chocolate biscuits, especially digestives, is similar.

Not that keen on chocolate bars or cakes but crisps and biscuits I could just mindlessly eat.

Am overweight so have stopped buying all of the above, but husband still does so sometimes crack and get the biscuits out the cupboard...

ElspethTascioni · 29/08/2022 19:34

Well I think I understand the nation’s obesity crisis a bit better now.

SavBbunny · 29/08/2022 19:38

Was a binge eater and boozer. But reformed 😁
However get behind me Satan re:

Port Salute
Brie
Jalsberg
Boule bread from Marks
Marks coffee ice cream
Any French fancies but only two (lightweight I know, any colour )
Champagne (drank my daughter's 18th bottle, she neve missed it)
Sav blanc
Curry especially yesterday's
Wotsits, family pack
Smoked mackerel
Avocados
Nectarines (can eat a whole pack)
Brazil nuts (I eat them before they go in the mixed nut jar)
The collective yogurt

So ladies in view of the above I should be a healthy size 12!

JanesSadLittleLife · 29/08/2022 19:39

I've seen a couple of "that's not normal" remarks, but 3 pages in and I'm disappointed not to have seen one reference to our lack of self control contributing to the obesity crisis.

Anyway, French Fancies, pah, amateur. I can eat a whole Tescos coffee cake. I saw both the French fancies AND the coffee cake today, but resisted. Came home with a Cadburys Mystery Bar and a box of rocky road bites instead, which thus far I have not completed...they are calling me though, DH is snoring at approx 72db on the sofa next to me so I might decamp to the bedroom for Netflix and sugar.

Xtraincome · 29/08/2022 19:40

Sabra hummus original
Crinkle cut ready salted Tesco share bag
Reeces pieces
Glace cherries
white chocolate Lindt
birthday cake

@Mother87 there's a pecan and Cranberry what now?

JanesSadLittleLife · 29/08/2022 19:40

Ah @ElspethTascioni there we are then. Cross posted.

DeanStockwelll · 29/08/2022 19:40

Lilithslove · 29/08/2022 17:34

I can eat huge amounts of cheese and crackers. I think I could easily eat a family block of mature cheddar over the course of a couple of hours.

Oooh we could be friends , most Sunday evenings I eat brie , goats cheeses, Stilton, blacksticks blue , two different types of crackers, sushi ginger and home made pickles a glass or three of red wine and snuggle down to rat and listen to my favourite Audible book

ElspethTascioni · 29/08/2022 19:40

@JanesSadLittleLife someone had to 😉

Xtraincome · 29/08/2022 19:41

Oh god and a share bag of Maltesers

User36373729472847273 · 29/08/2022 19:41

I have done this before. I love the frostie fancies they do at Christmas and have been known to eat a whole box. I am greedy 😅

DustinsHat · 29/08/2022 19:42

GyozaGuiting · 29/08/2022 17:32

That’s an impressive amount of sugar! 128g if it’s an 8 pack. Do you feel ok? Are you shaking?!

Shaking and crying Grin

Xtraincome · 29/08/2022 19:43

Used to be Ben and Jerrys Chunky Monkey but i cant find it anymore

JanesSadLittleLife · 29/08/2022 19:43

@ElspethTascioni Of course, it wouldn't be MN otherwise! Congrats on getting in there first. 😉

You're not wrong, but life can be a bit shit so losing ourselves in awful but delicious junk for a while can be soothing. If you like that sort of thing.

LeFeu · 29/08/2022 19:45

Kettle chips
Jaffa cakes
a bottle of wine 😳

ThinWomansBrain · 29/08/2022 19:46

wow - thread drove me to Waitrose - they're nearly £3 a box - in my head Kipling type cakes like that are about £1.
I had Lemon cheesecake instead.
The second slice is still in the fridge,
Just.
