Do you use one and if not, can I ask why?

I am interested in the rough proportion of people in the UK who use an electric toothbrush - no idea why - its just something I pondered upon whilst brushing my teeth. I use an electric, but haven't always - started around 3 years ago, and haven't looked back since. My teeth feel so much cleaner, and its easier too.

I cannot really see why someone wouldn't use one, outside from the expense, which I do understand would be prohibitive for many.

AIBU to ask: do you use an electric toothbrush, and if you don't then what is the reason for that?

It's pretty standard in the UK too!
Not for hairdryers I don't think - they all need a 3-pin plug, but razors and electric toothbrushes use a 2-pin plug.

I just bought an adaptor from Amazon so it can plug into a standard 3 pin socket as I don’t have shaver sockets.

have tried but always end up going back to manual brush!

I’ve been using one for about 8 months after my dentist recommended it, though tbf she did say that my teeth were fine without. I much prefer it. My teeth just feel so much cleaner and I have a small mouth and find the small head on the electric brush can get at the awkward corners better.

I have an ordo sonic plus, think it was about £40. I believe I’ve charged it three times in eight months, which is seriously impressive on twice-daily use (maybe in that time I’ve had three or four weeks total away when I haven’t used it as a manual is lighter to pack). Replacement heads are something like £20 for four and I replace them every three months.

Used one for 30 years, I never feel I've properly cleaned if I use a manual one. My last one lasted 11 years and its replacement was £40 half price, plus extra Boot points. Charger stays tucked in the bathroom cabinet plugged into the shaver point so never gets misplaced.

I don't use one. I'm just not particularly bothered about getting one.

Yep.i have a couple which I take on UK holidays in case the holiday cottage doesn't have shaver sockets. But can't remember having to use them for a few years now.
