Or their partner - 'making memories with this one' - gross.

I absolutely love you guys, this is my exact reaction to #makingmemories

"A cracking bit of kit, this." It's a laptop bag/dishwasher/pen, not a spare part for the Hadron Collider.

😂😂

Sonnex · 25/08/2022 20:51

Oh god ive just seen someone's said full time mummy. I'm actually spasming. There is a woman and my kids school who is perfectly nice but has this as her job title on Facebook. I can barely look her in the eye.

Another one on FB that makes me cringe - Majorca/Ibiza/Florida/Clacton/some shit hole, you've been amazing, on the last day of someone's holiday. I don't mind holiday photos but that is too much.

ImJustMadAboutSaffron · 25/08/2022 21:08

If you're a mum you're always a full time one. You don't stop being a Mum when you're at work!

themoominmama · 25/08/2022 21:17

I have a friend who asks how is your little man when enquiring after the health of my husband, He isnt little. It drives me mad as does her frequent use of bootiful. A neighbour and her husband regularly post pics on Facebook describing their 10 year old DD as This little lady or This little princess. Just use her fucking name!!!!! Aaaaargh

Wow, you're a little ray of sunshine OP.

Funkyblues101 · 26/08/2022 02:51

"Little people"
For children (not midgets)
😡😤

drumandthebase · 26/08/2022 07:46

The word "banger" when you used to describe a great song. Please stop it!

TheNonsensePotter · 26/08/2022 07:54

Someone I know announced both her pregnancies on Facebook by saying "we did a thing" and "we did another thing"
I can't wrap my head around why any adult would use this choice of wording?
She also refers to her dog as "the goodest dog" 😐

I hate lippy and cuppa. Hearing them make me want to punch holes in the walls.

Icouldbehappy · 26/08/2022 08:08

Only on page 2 and I have cackled with laughter 😂
I need to get up for work but I will come back to this thread! Solidarity 💪

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 26/08/2022 08:14

Gonna, wanna, kinda, sorta, all make me want to e-slap whoever wrote (typed) them.

SkiingIsHeaven · 26/08/2022 08:24

Baby Momma.

Just can't stand that one.

millievanille · 26/08/2022 08:38

I can't stand 'because' shortened to 'cos'

Also, 'yup' for yes.

I have a friend who posts everything her child does on social media using the public address 'folks'. As in 'we have a crawler, folks!' I find it so irritating.

Remind me of seeing a little boy of about 4 wearing a T shirt that said “lock up your daughters” 🤮

Just seen a little girl wearing a T shirt that said “Mummy makes me happy.”

Reallyreallyborednow · 26/08/2022 13:27

Portion, it just annoys me, especially when someone asks for a portion of chips

isn’t that completely normal? How else would you request 3 sausage and chips and a portion of chips down the chippy?

another couple I hate are “drop” for releasing a new whatever. So many people dropping albums and clothes, hope the floors clean. The other is “clap back”. Mental image of celebrities clapping in peoples faces Friends-style.

I saw one that said "Glitter makes me happy". 🙀

FujiSakura · 26/08/2022 14:01

At work I irrationally hate the abbreviation 'mat leave' and even worse, a new one on me last week was 'occy health' for Occupational Health.

bridgetreilly · 26/08/2022 14:25

Baggie for bag literally makes my skin crawl.

I’m not really a fan of slogan t shirts on kids but what’s wrong with ‘mummy makes me happy’? I feel like I must be missing something. The ‘lock up your daughters’ one is horrible.
