Just that, really. If you can remember what they’re called or link them, that would be fabulous. Feeling a bit glum tonight and a laugh would be nice. 😊

The Guinea Pig Obituaries thread. It's in Classics.

Itsonthestairs · 20/08/2022 15:43

Please put the links in it making me laugh so much

There was one earlier this year about a poster rescuing a hedgehog and putting it in the bath overnight. Her DH/partner didn't know it was there and said WTF is a hedgehog doing in the bath. Not THAT funny, but it was a lovely thread!

LittleBearPad · 20/08/2022 16:25

Still funny Bear

DH and I tell each other not to be spoonyfuckers - that’s another good one.

The Reality vs Expectation of New Purchases is the funniest ever IMO:

And the Hugo thread is my close second:

Embarrassing dad at the swimming pool and the mandatory workplace 'gratitude journal' made me snort.

Had another guffaw at a post from a MNetter who'd bought herself a cool new leather jacket, only to conclude it made her look like Suzi Quattro's fat nan.

So many of my faves mentioned here. I have a soft spot for the fatballs thread as I read it late at night, heavily pregnant, after a row with DH and in my emotional state I laughed so much I ended up crying/laughing. I was a snotty mess by the end of it.
My absolute favourite thread is called something like "what white lies have you told", and is full of very British scenarios where people have been too awkward/polite to correct people. On there a woman told the story of how a stranger asked her if her baby was a boy, and rather than correct her and say no it's a girl, she went along with it and said yes, his name is Richard 😂It was even funnier because her husband was also there and just couldn't believe what was happening. There were so many things on there that I could imagine myself doing in my awkwardness. I'm off to find it and re read.

Not necessarily laugh, but there was a series on here from OP who worked in an office, and the parent of someone she saw every week dropping someone off used to take a massive stinking poop in her office then leave. It went on for a few new threads but goodness me I was ENGROSSED. It was addictive reading it.
