Vulva / vagina

This is lighthearted but I'm irritated!
DH maintains that there is no real difference between the vulva and vagina and argues with me when I tell him there is.
It's very silly. I say that the vagina in the inside part and the vulva is labia minora/ majora. He is totally BU?

The anus isn't a hole in the vulva. Men have anuses too. Some of them are nothing but anus.

It's the urethra, vagina and the two tentacle holes.

I'm sad that my vagina doesn't have tentacles.

Labia and vulva are the same thing..... aren't they 🤔

when learning the basics of genitalia in school they say boys have a penis and girls have a vagina

My seven year old did parts of the body at school this year and was taught (correctly) what the vulva and vagina are.

Labia makes up part one of the vulva, the labia minora and majora are all part of the vulva as are the mons pubis, and clitoris. The vulva is the all encompassing term I think!

I teach biology. I tell the kids that the vulva is the outside bit they can see. The vagina is the internal bit where the penis goes during intercourse. Explain it to him like he's 11.

That is a terrible explanation, your vagina is your vagina, irrespective of any penile involvement.

Lots of people use more colloquial language. Very few people use all anatomical language for body parts.

And the vagina and vulva are not completely separate. Just like testicles are inside the scrotum yet in all the comparisons to male genitals on here no one has used correct anatomical language!
