To find Linda Evangelistas vogue shoot a bit bonkers

Obviously most people are vain to a certain degree but she’s had her face pinned back with tape and wires for this new vogue cover shoot because of the damage a cosmetic procedure has done to her body

I guess none of us want to see ourselves in a negative light either but these pics are a bit bonkers. She’s taped her neck and face up and it’s also been photo shopped and she’s completely covered up!

she’s a beautiful woman regardless of the procedure that went wrong but she’s also 57 and getting older- stuff like this just reinforces false ideas of beauty and ageing. I know the fashion industry is totally fake anyway.

i mean if it makes her feel better then all power to her but it just feels really extra bonkers!

They are odd photos. To be honest I think all of Madonna’s non-pap photos are equally weird. I don’t know what’s the aim of it all.

I don’t get why they don’t see themselves as others see them. They are making themselves look ridiculous. I wouldn’t like to live inside some of those heads.

I have really only seen recent photos of her on twitter, where she wears scarves and hats, so I went to find some more recent photos of her.

She's lost her slim throat and defined jaw, but then so have I compared to my 20s. She's a woman in her 50s. I don't know that I'd look twice at her in the street, and I wouldn't say she looks "deformed" in any way. I guess if you were using the procedure to keep yourself looking like Linda age 30, then you'd be horrified with the results, but I think deformed is too strong a word for the woman in these photos. Her glasses do her no favours tbh, in terms of her look. They're not flattering.

@PineappleWilson I imagine she hates looking 'normal' having previously been extraordinary. I remember an interview with Kevin Bacon where he said he wore prosthetics and walked round a mall to see what it felt like. He hated it and preferred having everyone swooning over him! They all live on a different planet from us plebs.

I do actually feel really bad for her, it is awful to look in the mirror and hate what you see, and it must be even worse to then undergo a procedure that backfires and leaves you feeling unrecognisable or like you need to cover yourself all the time.

Me too. I don't think we're in the minority I think it's human nature to want to look at beautiful people. Unfortunately theres a very vocal minority crying about how unfair it is that models aren't as overweight and ordinary as the rest of us.

Maybe she will eventually do a less photoshopped shoot. It must be a huge step for her.
Kate Moss looks like she has had lots done and is paying the price for someone who didn't look after themselves.

She’s a very arrogant woman who hasn’t really done anything of note. I can’t see the appeal….that’s not me being jealous - I see many models/actors who in my eyes are far better looking. She’s always looked like an alien.

She doesn't look that bad in the People magazine cover, if that's what she actually looks like. She looks like a 50 odd year old woman rather than a 20 year old, but she doesn't look 'disfigured'.

Agreed @Juil . She seems to wear a mask over her chin a lot, like the scarves round ner lower face on Twitter, so it seems that's something she's particularly conscious off, but from the distance these photos were taken at, I can't see anything that is particularly disfiguring about them.

It's a chance for her to redefine herself and find a different career. You do wonder what she'd have done had the procedure worked - would she still have been modelling in her 50s and 60s?

It would be interesting to see a photo shoot that tried to make the best of how she really looks instead of just photoshopping her face and covering every square inch of her body so she looks exactly as she did 35 years ago. I hope it has boosted her confidence and helped her to feel better about herself but it is not what she really looks like.

I don't think her face looks disfigured, she just hasn't aged as well as some models/actors have . Although I know they've pretty much all had some work done.

I thought it was her body that was disfigured due to procedures though not her face ?

I don't know if I just haven't seen the right pictures, but I personally find the idea that this procedure left her "deformed" as being the most distasteful. She looks like a normal women of her age.

Maybe she is struggling with that, but the idea she seems to be projecting is that she is so hideous she shouldn't be seen. That is sad (for her) and offensive for everyone else who looks their age.

Yes this. I am sorry for her, it must be awful but people have worse, and many people with much more severe damage or injury style it out because that's what they have to do. It would be much more inspiring to others, and probably helpful for her too, to do a shoot as she is, with glam outfits, and interview about how she's coming to terms with it.

Vogue decide to make a big fuss of her.

They're happy, she's happy, the story might sell some more mags.

I think if she just lost a bit of weight in the usual way, she'd look the same as she did a few years ago- not the same as she did in her twenties but she would look as good as she did for the rest of her fifties.

Maybe you should actually read the article and acquaint yourself with exactly what’s happened to her body. It’s horrific. The way she looks has fuck all to do with her weight.

I admire her honesty. At least she's admitting that it's all bollocks and fake. At least she's got her millions to keep warm. I do remember reading how she and Naomi Campbell (another charmer) used to secretly laugh at 'fat ugly women' who asked for autographs etc. Karma and vanity got her back.

I’m glad someone else thought this. You can literally just see her eyebrows 😂 I did wonder what the point was. Feel sorry for her having a botched job but you’d just step away from the limelight if you were so body-conscious, surely? I haven’t actually read the article, just saw the pics on the news

I always thought she was the lovelist of the supers actually. So striking and unusual, especially her eyes.

I don't think she looks like a normal 57 year old now.
